Totems Advance to Nationals

The Seattle Totems (49-6-0) advanced to the Junior A national tournament in Marlborough, Massachusetts this last Saturday night defeating the Tri City Titans 3 games to 1 by a score of 3-2.
 
The Totems were led by Tanner Shulze who scored the first two goals of the game on the powerplay and Chip Petrino who fired the game winning powerplay goal. Brad Frank continued his stellar playoff run in net stopping 54 of 56 shots. Frank is leading NorPac with a 1.74gaa and a .953sp.
 
The Totems head to nationals with a league leading powerplay that is clicking at 28.57 pct. as well as a 93.55 pct. penalty kill. The Totems pk unit only gave up 1 goal on 32 chances in the 4 game series vs the Titans while scoring on 8 of 21 opportunities. The team also leads the league in goals (36), assists (58), GAA (1.86) and shots (53.71) in only seven games played. Kevin Quinn leads NorPac in the active player scoring race for playoffs with 4 goals and 6 assists.
 
The Totems have 21 players recording at least 1 point in seven playoff games thus far. The depth within this group is what has propelled them to multiple regular season records in NorPac this season including most wins (43), goals scored (324), SHGF (29), and a 22 game win streak amongst many others.
