The Seattle Totems (50-8-0) will face off against the Helena Bighorns (49-11-0) in the NorPac Junior A hockey league best of 5 championship series beginning this Friday, April 4th at Lynnwood Ice Arena at 7:45pm. Game 2 will be back at LIC on Saturday, April 5th at 5:30pm. Games 3 and 4 will be held in Helena, Montana April 11th and 12th with the pivotal game 5 being played back in Seattle if needed.

This series features the two powerhouse teams that have led their respectable divisions from beginning to end. It will feature 10 of the top 20 scoring forwards in NorPac this season, led by the Totems #15 Kyle Stoumbaugh (139 pts), # 22 Damir Alic (111 pts), #16 Tanner Schultz (110 pts), #2 Kevin Quinn (59 pts) and # 10 Taylor Perkins (59 pts). On defense the Totems will be led by their always reliable and league leading captain, # 3 Ryno Linder who has collected 62 pts this year from the blueline.

The Bighorns of Helena will hit the ice led by Bryan Canter (98 pts), Branden Parkhouse (95 pts), Brandyn Kaufman of Gig Harbor, Wa. (86 pts), Rudi Pino (73 pts) and Matt Graham (71 pts).

These teams also boast the top two goaltending tandems throughout the regular season and playoffs with the Totems combo of Brad Frank (34-5-0, 2.08 gaa, .932 sp, 6 SO) and Kevin Maile (14-0-0, 2.78 gaa, .893 sp. 1 SO) leading the Horns duo of Ryan Sutliffe (31-9-0, 2.11 gaa, .918 sp, 5 SO) and Michael Smith (12-6-0, 2.55 gaa, .902 sp, 1 SO) by a slim margin. Any of these four tenders are capable of stealing the show.

All season long the Totems and Bighorns have laid claim to the top special teams play in their divisions. This series should live up to its billing of fast paced, hard hitting games. These teams average over 50 shots on goal per game with their non-trapping, quick strike attacking styles from both head coach Mike Murphy of the Totems and Scott Cunningham of the Bighorns.

Ticket prices will be $10.00 for adults, $7.00 for students and seniors and free for those under the age of seven.
